Luoyang Hengguan Bearing's specialized slewing bearing for tunnel boring machines has successfully completed trial assembly, demonstrating its strong capabilities and earning high recognition from customers.

Recently, Luoyang Hengguan Bearing Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hengguan Bearing") successfully completed the trial assembly and passed the customer's acceptance test for a batch of specialized Slewing Bearings custom-made for a well-known shield tunneling machine manufacturer in Jiangsu Province. The successful delivery of this product further demonstrates Hengguan Bearing's technical strength and manufacturing capabilities in the field of core components for high-end equipment.

The tunnel boring machine project involved complex working conditions, placing extremely high demands on the load capacity, wear resistance, and installation accuracy of the slewing bearing. Through multiple online video conferences and offline design reviews, the Hengguan Bearing technical team and the client's engineering department ultimately determined the optimal solution: selecting a three-row roller structure with an outer diameter of 1800mm, strictly controlling the axial and radial clearances to within 10 microns, and achieving a surface roughness of Ra0.32 or less on the raceway after precision machining.

To ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment under heavy load and vibration conditions, Hengguan Bearings has made breakthroughs in both materials and manufacturing processes: using 42CrMo material with a hardness controlled at HB270–300, and an effective hardened layer depth of the raceway no less than 8mm;  considering the characteristics of its vertical installation, an innovative integrated steel-and-copper cage structure is adopted, which effectively reduces friction and wear, and improves the bearing's service life in harsh environments.
