The VSA201094-N Slewing Bearings is the biggest member of the INA VSA Standard 20 series range of external gear slewing rings. It is a single row ball slewing bearing, four point contact which can take combined axial, radial and tilting moment loads in one compact ball row in 56 mm section height.
Each ball is in touch with the raceway at four locations simultaneously, hence a single ring may handle load combinations that would normally need two separate angular contact bearings. Materials & Construction
The ring material may be supplied in 50Mn or 42CrMo4. 50Mn gives strong core toughness. 42CrMo4 in quenched and tempered state has higher fatigue resistance under repeated shock loads which is significant in excavator and crane swing applications.
The raceways are induction hardened to 55–62 HRC surface hardness with a ductile core to withstand impact without breaking. The fatigue performance of GCr15 bearing steel balls is stable throughout the whole range of specified loads.
